House Extension: Windsor

A major renovation was needed to bring this Queensland cottage up to the clients requirements.

The dining room was extended by 3.5m and the original window was reused to maintain the feel of the house. The stairs that were outside were brought inside so the owners would not get wet coming up from the garage. This meant that the house roof and the deck roof would need to be modified to allow for a water tight roof.

Under the dining room, a guest bedroom was added and the office was relocated under the third bedroom. Next to the guest room a modern bathroom was installed.

Finally an external set of stairs were added to the deck so everyone could get to the pool without going through the house. In one of the photos you can see where the old floor stops. Once we had sorted out the old floor we laid a new Spotted Gum floor over the top.
