We were enlisted to build a house, not just any house, but a BIG house on the Northside of Brisbane. This has been a project that has been going since late last year and we are up to the finishing stage and we are so excited.
When we first got the plans for this house we couldn’t wait to start the project as this build was for an Executive home with quality right across the board. We laid out the pegs on site and can you believe, the house is 638m2 (that’s approximately 70sq) so this was one BIG house.
Weather delayed us at Christmas (as Brisbane is known for their summer storms) and once the frame went up it was all action. We are now onto the finishing touches and the home is exquisite.
This house is a two story home with large entertaining rooms throughout. As the family have older and younger children, the downstairs area is the “teenagers” retreat with their own rumpus room coming off from the bedrooms. Upstairs you will find the parents room with massive walk-in robe and the most superb ensuite. There are also an additional two bedrooms for the younger children upstairs with another playroom/rumpus area.
I think the features of the home (although the house is really in itself the feature) is the pool that is semi recessed into the home downstairs, so it adds dramatic effect from when you first enter the home and another highlight (for all you ladies) is the massive Pantry and open style kitchen. As we are onto the fit out stage, we can finally see everything come together from carpet, tiles, lights, fixtures and little extra features that make this home stand out from the rest. This is A++ quality!
We cant wait to hand over the keys to the owners and see this house, become a home!
