I received a call from th new owner asking what could be done to stop the water coming through the floor. I discovered that the previous owner had done his own renovation a few years earier. The shower base had no waterproofing at all and the floor collapsed as I was pulling it apart. There was so much water in the flooring that it had become a sponge. I was amazed that someone was not in the shower when it happened. I had to replace floor joists and the flooring.
